Domestic Terrorist Attack In Colorado
Yesterday, a man reportedly set multiple individuals on fire in Boulder, Colorado, leaving six people injured and one seriously wounded. This occurred during a gathering in support of Israeli hostages. Charges will be announced in the coming days, as the Department of Justice says it will “prosecute all perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.”
The suspect yelled “Free Palestine” during the attack. The Police Chief in Boulder said in a press conference Sunday, “Our hearts go out to everyone affected today.” Governor Jared Polis has condemned the attack as “heinous”.
This attack follows the killing of two Israeli embassy staffers recently. With regard to the foreign implications, Israel continues to carry out a years-long genocide of the Palestinian people, enhancing the blockade of food and aid, and deliberately targeting children. We will have more special coverage on this later in the week.
🌐 Ukraine Strikes Deep Into Russian Territory
In a bold escalation of the war, Ukraine launched a wide-ranging drone offensive into Russian territory overnight. The campaign—named Operation Spider’s Web—reportedly destroyed 40 Russian military bombers and disrupted key logistical corridors.
According to sources speaking to CBS News, the attack was more than 18 months in the making and was personally overseen by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The operation involved a staggering 117 drones. As global powers scramble to assess the implications, ceasefire talks are set to resume today in Istanbul amid growing international pressure for a resolution.
🏛️ Trump Loyalists Installed in Key Federal Roles
As Donald Trump tightens his authoritarian grip on American institutions by placing fiercely loyal allies in high-level government positions, his most recent—and controversial—appointment is Paul Ingrassia as Special Counsel.
This appointment is a dangerous pick by a President who has shown unmitigated disregard for the rule of law.
According to reporting from The Washington Post, “Ingrassia ... has publicly advocated for white supremacist and antisemite Nick Fuentes, publishing a Substack titled ‘Free Nick Fuentes’ and writing on X that ‘dissident voices’ such as Fuentes should have a place in conservative politics. He was also part of a legal team representing self-described misogynist influencer Andrew Tate, who has been charged with human trafficking and forming an organized-crime group in Romania, as well as rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking in the United Kingdom. Earlier this year, Ingrassia likened Tate to ‘the embodiment of the ancient ideal of excellence.”
In addition to this, The New York Times reports that he hosted a podcast called, “Right on Point” and in December 2020, as Trump promoted unsubstantiated conspiracy theory-based allegations about the 2020 election, said that Trump should “declare martial law and secure his re-election.”
🚫 Trump’s USDA Ends Job Corps Program
The USDA has recently moved to dismantle all Job Corps Civilian Conservation Centers—a program that for decades provided job training and educational opportunities for underserved youth. The closures, which occurred with minimal transparency, has disrupted thousands of lives and gutted a key public service, particularly in rural and minority communities. This has sparked bipartisan pushback, as advocates are calling for full restoration and federal accountability.
